Our goal is to empower you to live life your way, within the comfort of familiar surroundings, while ensuring your well-being and independence under the watchful eye of expert nurses and field supervisors. Our services are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Why Paragon Home Healthcare?

Paragon Home Healthcare was founded by Catherine Hellary, an advanced nurse practitioner and experienced executive manager in the healthcare sector. With a special interest in spinal cord injuries and acquired brain injuries, Catherine is passionate about ensuring equity in access to complex homecare for individuals with high-level care needs. She founded Paragon to create a service that truly prioritises specialist, high-quality, and person-centred care, enabling clients to live independently and access the right support when and where they need it.

Leading our clinical services is Anita Osborn, our director of nursing and quality, whose extensive experience in nursing, clinical governance, and quality management ensures that our care meets the highest standards. Laura Simpson, our operations manager, oversees the seamless day-to-day management of our services, ensuring both clients and carers receive the support they need. At the heart of our organisation is a dedicated head office team, carefully chosen for their expertise and passion, working together to keep our services running to the highest standard.

Making a Positive Impact in Homecare

We believe that homecare should be a respected and rewarding career and are committed to changing the perception of the sector. Paragon Home Healthcare is one of the few homecare providers to offer graduate schemes, providing structured pathways for career development, specialist training, and professional growth.

We want to make working in homecare and complex homecare a diverse and fulfilling profession, where carers gain valuable skills, develop confidence, and have opportunities to progress—whether within Paragon or beyond. Many of our team members grow into senior care roles, clinical positions, or transition into related fields with the knowledge and experience they gain here. We are proud to be an employer of choice, where people feel valued, supported, and given the tools to thrive.

At Paragon, we firmly believe that we are only ever as good as the people who work with us and that the experience of those we care for is a direct reflection of the team we build. This is why we invest in our people, champion specialist training, and create an environment where both clients and carers can flourish.

Commitment to Excellence and Trusted Partnerships

At the heart of Paragon Home Healthcare are the values of care, compassion, and dignity. Every member of our team is carefully selected to ensure they align with our high ethical standards and client-centred approach.

We believe in strong partnerships with specialist organisations to provide comprehensive and tailored care. Our collaborations include:

  • Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) – We are a trusted provider, working alongside SIA to improve the lives of individuals with spinal cord injuries.

  • British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM) – As members of BABICM, we ensure that our approach to acquired brain injury care aligns with best practices in brain injury rehabilitation and long-term support.

  • Headway – We actively utilise Headway’s resources to support clients with acquired brain injuries, ensuring access to expert guidance on rehabilitation, cognitive support, and independent living.

Through these partnerships, we continually enhance our specialist expertise, ensuring the highest quality of life and well-being for our clients.

Homecare services available

Live-in care

Our live-in care is tailored to fit your specific needs as outlined in your care plan, from personal care and mobility assistance to specialised support for spinal cord injuries and acquired brain injuries. Our committed carers, carefully selected and trained by our experienced clinical team, are available around the clock for advice, support, and field assistance to ensure high-quality, consistent care.

Live-in care clients typically have a team of two carers alternating every few weeks, depending on individual preferences. We manage care schedules to minimise the need for relief carers, reducing the number of individuals involved in your care. Clients take an active role in selecting their carers through meet-and-greet sessions, ensuring comfort and familiarity with their team. We prioritise smooth transitions between carers to minimise disruption and ensure all staff are well-prepared for their shifts.

Spinal injury care

Our care service for spinal cord injury survivors is driven by the fundamental belief in independent living for all, enabling a fulfilling life within the comfort of their own homes, bolstered by exceptional specialised care. We forge important collaborations with NHS and Private Spinal Injury Centres, working closely with their teams to craft comprehensive care plans tailored for our clients with spinal injuries. This collaboration ensures our caregiving approach reflects expert advice and insights from the Spinal Injury Association (SIA), resulting in specialized care that enhances overall outcomes, promotes well-being, and cultivates independence for our clients.

We offer a variety of care options tailored to your unique needs, including live-in care, daytime or nighttime shifts, or a blended approach. Our dedicated team of carers, who have undergone rigorous training from our experienced Clinical Team, stand ready to offer advice, support, and hands-on assistance at all times.

Acquired Brain Injury and Stroke Care

Our care service for individuals with acquired brain injuries, traumatic brain injuries, and strokes is built on the belief that independent living and quality of life should be achievable for all, with the right support in place. We work closely with NHS and private brain injury rehabilitation units, neurological specialists, and case managers to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each client’s needs. Our collaboration with experts, alongside our membership in the British Association of Brain Injury Case Managers (BABICM) and use of Headway’s resources, ensures our care reflects best practices in brain injury rehabilitation, enhancing recovery, well-being, and independence.

We offer a variety of care options tailored to your unique needs, including live-in care, daytime or nighttime shifts, or a blended approach. Our dedicated team of carers, trained by our experienced clinical team, provide expert support and are always on hand to offer advice, assistance, and reassurance.

Our complex care services are designed to support individuals in living a fulfilling and independent life within the comfort of their own home. We prioritise smooth transitions between carers to reduce disruption, ensuring all team members are fully prepared for their shifts.
